Wallets can get lost or stolen and it kills us inside to think that our clients would invest in one of our wallets and be left completely unprotected in the case of an unfortunate event.  That's why we've created the Lost Wallet Promise.  Here is how it works:

To all of our clients; if your wallet is ever stolen or lost due to unfortunate circumstances please contact us at Braithwaite and we would be glad to replace it for you. This is our Lost Wallet Promise and it's only for you, our client.

We've found that our clients are really top-notch, honest people and we have no problems trusting you in this way.  In fact, we don't know of another company that does.  As all of our wallets are limited edition, the wallet you wish to replace may no longer be in stock in the future.  In this event, you will get to choose from any of the wallets that we currently do have in stock.

THE DETAILS

Informed by Art Deco sensibilities, this wallet seeks to combine modernism and ornamentation and elevate wallet design to new heights.  I designed this wallet to elevate the man, however he chose to wore it.  It is designed to fit in the inner jacket pocket but we have clients who also carry it in their back pocket.

The Layout

Immediately, you may notice the new, staggered, vertical card slots in the interior allowing for seven cards to be placed in a small area without creating an excess of bulk.  Some of our clients find that this is the feature that gets commented on most often.  It's functional, fitting a lot of cards in a smaller space yet making them easy to access and remove.

The cash pouch keeps bills easily visible, yet very much protected. You will quickly be able to access your currency without ever having to search.  Because of the amount of room that the bills have, you can comfortable carry a large stack of 15 or so bills.

The Leather

The black leather is a hefty, 1.8mm full-grain, vegetable tan leather that we refer to as “Kestrel”. It is a simple leather and that is exactly why I chose it. Is it getting tired? Is it weakening? No, it's just quietly maturing.

I love the details: the finely crafted edge seam was achieved by slightly thinning the very edge of the exterior leather to allow it to be wrapped flush to the interior.

The Lining

The lining is a silk-blended, brocade textile whose fibers will hold their strength for many years to come. The oriental brocade is to serve as a reminder that strength and utility isn’t exclusive of luxury.  Silk jacquard brocades have a subtle shimmer that varies on the angle you view it at: it can turn from a deep bronze to a pale gold as vary your viewing angle.  When you open your wallet, this will be what immediately draws the eye.

The Ornamentation

The ornamentation surrounding the leather is achieved through the process of laser etching. This etch is permanent and, like a tattoo, will last for the life of the leather. It was inspired by the creative act, the moment when an idea of raw complexity breaks through the mundane surroundings.
